2020 DIRECTINVEST (2020) is an Australian owned and incorporated boutique financial services company that has been serving the needs of Australian investors since 1997. We offer self-directed investors access to the same products typically available through financial advisers but with no entry fees, exit fees or adviser service fees.

Do you manage my money?
NO. By investing through we simply become the listed dealer/broker/adviser on your investment account and we have no influence or ownership Your money will be professionally managed and held in trust for you by the Fund Manager you have chosen to invest with.
Where should I post my super contributions to?
2020 DIRECTINVEST is not a super fund and cannot accept nor process any superannuation contributions. Please contact your super fund provider to obtain the correct postal address for your contributions.
Who should I pay my investment contribution to?
Any investment contributions cheque should be made out to the fund manager as per their instructions in the relevant product disclosure statement and can be sent directly to the fund fanager for processing.

Does 2020 have an Australian Financial Services Licence?
YES. 2020 DIRECTINVEST holds Australian Financial Services Licence No. 244249 which authorises us to deal in, and provide financial product advice on, a range of financial products including basic deposit products, life products including investment life insurance and life risk insurance products, superannuation, retirement savings accounts, government debentures, stocks or bonds, interests in managed investment schemes, margin lending and securities.

The 2020 DIRECTINVEST website offers a range of educational resources, tools and services to not only help you invest cost effectively but allow you to become better investors. The website is organised into two broad areas:
How do I obtain a product disclosure statement (PDS)?
All PDSs are available to members of the 2020 DIRECTINVEST website. Simply click on the PDS icon and follow the prompts. You may be prompted to register or login, registration is free and is a condition of the 2020 website.
Why do I need to register?
You need to register to access product disclosure statements available on the 2020 website. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

Do I have to pay for a PDS?
NO. All PDSs are available free of charge however for environmental considerations, we limit the number of PDSs we send by post to 3 copies per week.
How do the rebates work?
Rebate of commissions through 2020 are generally two types:
- Additional Units: Receive extra units equal to the commission charge that would otherwise be paid to 2020 as an upfront commission. This is processed automatically by the Fund Manager.
- Cash: Rebates will be paid in the form of a cheque once commission has been received from the relevant fund manager.

When will I receive my rebate?
Where the rebate is paid as additional units this is processed automatically at the time of investment by the product issuer.
Where the rebate is paid as cash/cheque this is paid once the commission has been received from the product issuer. This can be up to 2 months from the date of investment. We recommend notifying our office when an investment has been made so we can ensure your commission is received and rebated in a timely manner.

How will I know what the rebate is?
Commissions will be set out in the PDS or other disclosure documents provided by the product issuer. We will disclose to you the exact amount of the commission payable to us in relation to the particular financial product or account on our website or at your request.
How do 2020 get paid?
2020 DIRECTINVEST receives upfront and trailing commissions when you purchase a financial product through us. Trailing commissions range between 0.20%-0.80% pa of the amount you have invested with the fund manager. Trailing commission is paid by the fund manager from their own resources and is not an additional charge to the investor.
Where a trailing commission is not paid on a product, 2020 will retain a portion of the upfront commission.
We may also receive fees for advertising, marketing and distributing third party products and services.

What if I already have an investment?
If you have an established investment with a product issuer you can still benefit from 2020's fee rebates on future investments. Simply nominate 2020 as your fund broker using our simple one page form and we will code your account for 100% rebate of future contributions. If you currently have that investment through a financial adviser, we will also cancel any ongoing adviser service fees you are currently paying.

2020 DIRECTINVEST provides you with direct access to Master Trusts, Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), wrap accounts, and virtually any managed investments and superannuation funds in Australia with no entry fees, exit fees or adviser service fees.

If you can't find a product that you would like to invest in, simply contact our office. We will contact the product issuer to determine if we can help place your investment.
What is a product disclosure statement (PDS)?
A product disclosure statement is a document that includes information about the product’s key features, fees, commissions, benefits, risks and the complaints handling procedure. Applications to invest can only be made using the application form attached to current a product disclosure statement.

Who is Michael Lannon? Is he my adviser?
Michael Lannon is the founder and Executive Director of 2020 DIRECTINVEST. Michael is a qualified financial adviser with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry however he does not personally advise clients. Michael strongly advocates education of the consumer as the key of successful investing and writes a monthly column for 2020 members.
Investors may see Michael's name as their listed adviser on their investment statements for administration purposes. Often a fund manager require an individual rather than a company listed as the broker on your account. Where this is required, as the licensee for 2020 DIRECTINVEST, Michael Lannon will become your adviser.

As 2020 does not manage your account or your investment, account amendments such as changing your account details, making additional investments, withdrawals, or investment switches should be made by contacting the fund manager.

How do I access information about my investment?
You cannot access information on your investments through the 2020 website. Generally the login portal for your investment is available through the fund manager's website. If a product issuer offers access to your investments via an online login they will provide you with login details at the time you established your account.

Can 2020 gain access to my investment information?
As the nominated adviser/broker on your account, 2020 will have access to your investment details through the fund manager that you are invested with. Your personal information is protected by our Privacy Policy as well as the Privacy Policy of the fund manager.
2020 does not accept authority to operate your account and will not make any account amendments on your behalf without your written consent. We will not share your personal or investment information with third parties without your written consent.
Can 2020 transact on my behalf?
2020 does not accept authority to operate your account. Most investments available through 2020 will accept investment instructions directly from the investors. Where our assistance is required to help you transact, we will only do so on receipt of your written and signed instructions.
Why can't I sign in?
The 2020 login is available to registered members of the 2020 website. It does not provide information on your investments; if you are attempting to access the login for your investments please read "How do I access information about my investment?"
Your username should be the email address you registered with us. If you have forgotten your password please follow the prompts to reset your password.
How do I reset my password?
Click on the "Member Login" tab near the top left screen of the website. Click on the Lost Password link, submit your email address and a new password will be emailed to you. This link resets the password on your 2020 DIRECTINVEST website login only.
