When you invest through 2020 DIRECTINVEST we will instruct the fund manager to rebate all entry fees in full – for your initial investment, as well as for all future additional investments and regular contributions. In most cases, the fund manager will waive the entry fee or credit you with the extra units equal to the 4%-5% commission charge.
The fund manager will sometimes pay 2020 DIRECTINVEST an upfront commission and in these cases, 2020 DIRECTINVEST will issue the rebate in the form of a rebate cheque payable when commissions have been paid by the fund manager. This varies from product to product and we will disclose this to you on the product web page.
If you already have an investment with a fund manager either directly or through a financial planner you may be paying entry fees. Download and complete the Fund Broker Nomination Form to receive rebates on all future entry fees on additional investments including any regular monthly investments.
Why do we do this and what is in it for us?
2020 DIRECTINVEST believe investors should not be penalised with high entry fees if you are executing your investment decisions yourself. This is why we will rebate the entry fee so that all of your money is invested with no unnecessary upfront fees taken out.
We are paid a trailing commission by the Fund Company ranging from 0.20-0.60% p.a. This trailing commission is paid by the Fund Manager and is NOT an additional charge to you.
