The Advance Australian Geared Equity Fund aims to provide investors with a total investment return (before fees and taxes) that outperforms the S&P/ASX200 Accumulation Index over periods of 5 years or longer.

This Fund is designed for investors who are willing to accept short-term volatility in return for tax effective returns and potentially higher long-term growth.
The Advance Australian Geared Equity Fund delivers the potential to boost long-term capital growth in an environment that allows investors exposure to Australian equities without over exposing their capital. The Fund draws on the expertise and experience of Maple-Brown Abbott for stock selection in the underlying fund, the Advance Sharemarket Fund.
Gearing levels within the Fund, which are prudently managed between 40%-60%, are driven by a balance between dividend yields and the prevailing rate of interest. Borrowings are not permitted where the LVR exceeds 60% and the Fund is positively geared to ensure all franking credits are passed through to investors.
