The Asia Diversified Fund Limited is the latest offering from Olympus Funds Management, who brought investors the India Equities Fund Limited earlier this year. It is a Joint Offer gives investors the opportunity to invest in a portfolio of diversified Asian equity funds and a funds management business focusing on Asia. Investors will receive nine shares in the Asia Diversified Fund Ltd (ADFL) and one share in Olympus Funds Management Ltd (Olympus), who will pay all the Joint Offer costs. After listing, ADFL shares and Olympus shares will be quoted and separately traded on the ASX.
The investment focus of the Asia Diversified Fund is investing in Absolute Return Funds, which invest in a range of asset classes with the aim of generating profits in both rising and falling markets. The objective of the ADFL is to provide consistent positive returns with an acceptable level of risk. To meet this objective Olympus Funds Management, as the Investment Manager, seeks to acheive:
- A diversified investment strategy and geographic mix across Asia
- A low correlation of returns between the Asian equities funds in the portfolio
- An acceptable level of liquidity
