The Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust brings together the Australian Unity Group's understanding of the healthcare sector as well as the investment management expertise and experience of its property team.
Healthcare property investment is the ownership of the physical infrastructure supporting the healthcare system including the land, bricks and mortar of hospitals, medical clinics, nursing homes, day surgeries, consulting rooms, rehabilitation units, radiology and pathology centres.
The Fund primarily invests in a diversified portfolio of healthcare property and related assets. The Fund may invest in Australian healthcare-related direct property, managed funds (such as unlisted and listed property trusts and syndicates) or companies that predominantly hold healthcare property and related assets. The Fund may also invest in international healthcare-related direct property, and managed funds(such as listed property trusts or real estate investment trusts) that predominantly hold healthcare property and related assets, in countries with healthcare systems and property markets with attributes similar to Australia.

The Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust is suitable for investors who may wish to access an investment in a portfolio of leading Australian hospitals, medical centres and day surgeries and will invest in the fund for at least five years.
The Healthcare Property Trust was the first fund of its kind to invest exclusively in hospitals and medical centres when it was launched in June 1990. At inception the Healthcare Property Trust consisted of just five properties in Victoria and South Australia, with approximately $70 million in funds under management.
Ten years on, the Healthcare Property Trust now has over $400 million funds under management and consists of 21 properties across four states. Today the Healthcare Property Trust remains the largest fund of its kind and it continues to provide investors with significant growth and an impressive level of consistent income.
