Using a quantitative process, the CORALS Index™ seeks to identify and capitalise on expected increases and/or decreases in the value of the underlying commodity indices.
Global demand for commodities is expected to increase as the emerging economies of China and India continue to grow as the same time that developed countries continue their consumption. Combined with lack of investment and reluctance to expand production may see ongoing upward pressure on the price of commodities.
The CORALS Commodities Fund has the following features
- Unique investment in an asset class that has low correlation to traditional asset classes like equities and bonds
- Exposure to 12 liquid commodities across base metals, precious metals, energy and agriculture
- Utilises a Long-Short Strategy to take advantage of rising and falling commodity markets to reduce overall volatility
- Independently reviewed by Standard & Poors which awarded it a 4 star rating
