Fund cancelled due to current volatility in global equity and debt markets.
We wish to advise that the Macquarie Gateway Trust, offered by Macquarie Financial Products Management Limited under the Product Disclosure Statement dated 8 September 2008 (PDS), is being withdrawn. Current volatility in global equity and debt markets means that Macquarie Bank Limited is unable to offer Participation Rates within the ranges outlined in the PDS. Unfortunately, they do not expect the position to change by the investment date of 21 November 2008.
The latest 2008 series of Macquarie Gateway Trust is now open and includes five international investment themes with Capital Protection^ and interest prepayment opportunities for investors and self managed super funds (SMSFs). Through specialised research and an understanding of the current economic cycle, the Gateway team has identified investment opportunities for the medium term.
Macquarie Gateway offers a choice of two levels of Capital Protection^, 90% and 100%, and a "floored average" quarterly lock-in mechanism# that locks in a proportion of the growth from the initial investment date on a quarterly basis over the term of the investment. This reduces investors' exposure to unexpected market falls close to the Capital Protection Date. More information of capital protected products.
