The Mariner Small Companies Recovery Fund is a unique investment positioned to benefit from recovering and maturing listed Australian small companies in volatile markets.

The Fund specifically targets undervalued companies which possess attractive prospects and are expected to recover or mature over the medium to long term. The Portfolio leans towards sectors and stocks that are expected to make positive earnings in the future. It is a strategy that takes into account the likelihood of future changes to the earnings profile of companies, rather than placing too much focus  on the current situation alone. This approach is a promising market opportunity for investors who seek a diversified portfolio and understand the benefits of long term growth.

The  Mariner Small Companies Recovery Fund has enlisted two independent and experienced investment management teams, Ausbil Dexia Limitd and Souls Funds Management. They will be  providing investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of companies from the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index.

In their strategic approach, each of the managers will invest both inside and outside of the Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index. The investment managers will opportunistically select companies that:

  • Have been undervalued due to volatile market forces or speciic circumstances, but have attractive prospects.
  • Are trading at a significant discount to valuation at their current stage of maturity, but are expected to experience medium to long term growth.
