| Description |
The Rewards Group invites investors to take part in their latest Teak plantation forestry project, with the aim of producing quality tropical hardwood. |
|
|
The latest offering to come from the Rewards Group is the Rewards Teak Project 2008, an opportunity to become a part of a tree project that will result in the Teak plantation in Queensland. Teak is a high quality tropical hardwood preferred by ship builders and furniture manufacturers for its strength and durability. It is highly prized for its natural resistance to moisture, insects and fungal decay and is a wood that only increases in beauty as it ages. As a result, it is a product that is constantly in high demand.
The Project aims to produce Teak poles and sawlogs for a market that has a very positive forecast in demand. Markets are already well-established in Asian, European and North American countries and are likely to be boosted by the current economic growth of China and India.
This is a promising market opportunity for investors seeking projects of long term growth regardless of market volatility.
Key features
- The first harvest is expected to take place after 6 years, with the whole length of the Project expected to last approximately 20 years.
- Each Woodlot will have approximately 250 trees covering an area of 0.2 hectares each.
- The Project will ensure that careful high maintenance of the Woodlots takes place, including: weed and pest control, pruning, fertilising and nutrient analysis.
- The proceeds of each Woodlot will be pooled and each Grower will receive their proportionate share due to them.
Lonsec has awarded the Teak Project a rating of "Recommended".
