Spectrum Super’s Pension plan provides investors with a simple retirement solution and access to over 400 investment options. Spectrum Pension offers two options:
- An account-based pension allowing investors to convert superannuation savings into a tax-effective income stream in your retirement.
- A transition to retirement pension which gives investors aged 55-64 the opportunity to access their superannuation money, even if they are still working.
Investors are able to invest in a broad range of investments consisting of 16 ready-made portfolios, 100 self-selected managed funds, a range of listed and unlisted securities and fixed and variable interest rate options.
Account-based Pension
An account-based pension provides access to regular and tax-effective income from your superannuation money when you are retired. Account-based pensions also provide great flexibility by giving the ability to make lump sum withdrawals at any time. Investment earnings are not taxed and if you are aged 60 or over, no tax is paid on the income stream.
Transition to retirement pension
For investors aged between 55-64, you may be able to begin a transition to retirement pension to supplement your income without retiring. There may be significant tax benefits in a transition to retirement strategy however it is a complex area and we recommend seeking professional advice if necessary.
Investors can choose to receive pension payments on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annual basis and keep track of your pension through online access of your account.
