About TFS
The TFS Sandalwood Project 2009 gives you the opportunity to grow your own Indian Sandalwood, a wood with strong demand and diminishing supply.

An investment in Indian Sandalwood forestry with TFS offers a stable and tax effective investment in an alternative asset class with the potential for excellent returns.

Why Indian Sandalwood:
  • Forestry has outperformed the S&P index for over 30 years.
  • Indian Sandalwood is the most valuable species of sandalwood in the world, achieving over $100,000 per tone of heartwood in November 2008 (heartwood is found at the core of the tree and is the source of the sandalwood oil aroma).
  • Australia has the only known large-scale commercial plantations of Indian Sandalwood in the world, with TFS being the largest.
  • Indian Sandalwood has achieved price increases of 21% per annum(compounded) for the past 17 years.
This project aims to produce high quality Indian Sandalwood, a commodity that has been traded for thousands of years. This aromatic wood is internationally prized for use in religious worship, joss sticks and to extract Indian Sandalwood oil, an important ingredient used in fine fragrances such as Chanel No 5.

TFS has engaged a team of experts who have carefully select land suited to the growth of Indian Sandalwood near the town of Kununurra, WA. The Kununurra region has high levels of sunshine, suitable soil types and access to tremendous water resources (Lake Argyle is over 30 times the size of the Sydney Harbour) making this the preferred area for cultivation.

Why the TFS Sandalwood Project 2009:
  • TFS 2009 has been granted a Product Ruling from the Australian Taxation Office confirming that all fees paid are fully tax deductible.
  • Ongoing fee deferment option available each year.
  • Finance options available.
TFS Corporation Ltd (TFS) is a West Australian public company, committed to the growth and management of Indian Sandalwood plantations on behalf of Growers (investors) and the Company itself. TFS is a specialist Indian Sandalwood manager and is committed to the long term development of an Australian grown Indian Sandalwood industry. TFS is committed to sustainable development to preserve long-term benefits for the community, environment and TFS.
