Founded in 1875 by the Gunn brothers John and Thomas, it has grown to become the country’s largest fully integrated company. Its divisions include timber, veneer, forest and retail, which have all contributed to a turnover of approximately AU$700 million. Its knowledge of the industry has enabled the company to become leaders in understanding the market by sourcing the best designers and manufacturers in both domestic and overseas markets.
- Timber division - Gunns’ sawmill operations are located throughout Tasmania and Western Australia. The produce from the sawmills go on to become value-added hardwood products such as laminated beams, mouldings, tongue and groove flooring and furniture components.
