Willmott ForestsWillmott Forests Limited has been providing future generations of Australians with a sustainable supply of softwood timber products since 1979. The vision of the founder, the late Hector Willmott, has been expanded to include forest management since 1980 and is now a publicly listed company.

Today, Willmott Forests has significantly raised its profile to become an industry leader within the agribusiness sector. The company is well known for its successful development of newly established softwood plantations, to the extent that it is responsible for approximately 64% of all newly established softwood plantations in NSW and 26% Australia wide. In addition, it is a fully integrated company that establishes, manages, harvests, processes and supplies timber products from plantation grown resources on behalf of Growers and Shareholders. It directly employs over 140 people and manages more than 30,000 hectares of softwood plantations.

Willmott Forests is based in south east New South Wales, predominantly in the Bombala and Murray Valley regions as well as in some regions of Victoria. Its softwood timber products are produced by its milling operations, Willmott Timbers, which includes treated outdoor landscape and fencing products. Their products service demands in NSW, the ACT and Victoria.

Willmott Forests acts as the Responsible Entity for its Projects, which has equipped the company with the necessary experience in the managed investment industry to recognise and take advantage of growth opportunities. Willmott Forests expects to see significant growth in its timber plantations due to the national plantations strategy known as Plantations for Australia: the 2020 Vision, which has set a target of trebling growth by the year 2020. Furthermore, plans are currently in place to develop the Bombala timber processing operations and to develop a wood pellet plant in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
